About Us

Meet Our Counselor

I am a proud veteran that served honorably. I have traveled to several countries and lived in Japan for 5 years throughout my military career. My military experience allowed me to expand my cultural view of the world. In the career field of counseling, it is important to have a cultural view because it promotes empathy and increases inclusivity. My desire to learn more about others allowed me to earn my Associates Degree with the University of Maryland Asia. I continued my education after my military career and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology with Park University. I worked several years as a counselor and case manager prior to returning back to school to complete my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With years of experience in the career field of counseling, I have helped numerous of individuals, couples, and families overcome obstacles and improve their mental health in settings such as community health, behavioral schools, in-home counseling and case management, mental health hospitals, prison, and EAP. I provide an empathetic and non-judgmental approach that creates a space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings freely. I emphasize a client-centered atmosphere while incorporating therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and expressive arts. I focus on areas that include anxiety, depression, stress management, anger management, substance abuse, and relationship issues.
